The Gardens comprised of a number of features all of which a nestled within the protection of the woodlands which were planted 100 years ago. This shelter, combined with the effects of the gulf stream and the unique configuration of Glengarriff Harbour results in a unique micro climate in which an amazing range of exotic species flourish.
Structures in the garden include the Martello Tower (an original feature of the Island dating from the 1805), a Grecian Temple on the western side, the clock tower adjacent to the walled gardens and the Italian Temple and Italian Tea House (or Casita) which are in the famed Italian Gardens.
